iPad supports Plans, Capture, Tasks, Project Email, and Project Teams. iPhone supports Capture, Tasks, Project Email, and Project Teams. Android phones and tablets support Field Notes, Project Email, and Project Teams.
Required Newforma products
The apps work with Newforma Project Center, Contract Management, or ConstructEx. Plans, Capture, Tasks, and Project Teams can also connect through ConstructEx where supported.
Who can use the apps
Any invited project team member can use supported apps for project information made available through Info Exchange or ConstructEx. You do not need to be the hosting company to participate.
How synchronization works
The apps need internet for initial authorization and sync, then continue working with local data when you lose connectivity. When the app is open and a connection is available, project data syncs automatically.
How connections work
After creating a Newforma ID, you search for companies you work with and connect to them. Once connected, those company relationships make the associated projects available through the same identity.
Offline field use
You can continue using synchronized project data without a current connection. Secure Wi-Fi remains the better path for initial sync and larger uploads when bandwidth and mobile data charges matter.

What is a Newforma ID?
A Newforma ID is your single set of credentials for supported Newforma apps, Info Exchange access, and other connected project experiences.
Does Newforma ID cost anything?
No. Newforma ID registration is free and does not require a credit card.
Do I need a subscription to use the apps?
You can download the apps for free. A subscription is needed when you want to work across multiple projects at the same time.
What is included in the mobile app suite?
The current suite includes Plans, Capture, Tasks, Project Email, Project Teams, and Field Notes.
Can I use my company’s existing Info Exchange credentials?
Yes. Existing project credentials can be connected to your Newforma ID so you do not manage separate access patterns.
What if I work with multiple companies?
That is exactly where a unified identity helps most. It reduces friction when moving between teams, projects, and apps.
How do I log in to the mobile apps?
Sign in with your Newforma ID from within the apps. After that, the app shows the projects associated with your connections so you can choose what to synchronize locally.
Do I need an internet connection all the time?
No. You need internet to download, authorize, and synchronize app data, but after that the apps continue working with synchronized local data until a connection is available again.
What if I do not have credentials yet or I use Microsoft sign-in?
If you do not have project credentials yet, reach out to the company you are connecting with and ask them to provide access. If you are using supported Newforma Cloud mobile applications, you may also be able to sign in with your Microsoft account instead of Newforma ID.
